Yugoslavia 5’x3′ Flag
The flag of Yugoslavia served as the official emblem of the Yugoslav state from 1918 to 1992. The flag's design and its underlying symbolism are rooted in the Pan-Slavic movement, which played a pivotal role in uniting the South Slavs and the eventual establishment of a unified South Slavic state in 1918.
This flag featured three equal horizontal bands in blue, white, and red. It was initially adopted by the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, where it was in use from 1918 until 1941. During World War II, the victorious Yugoslav Partisans incorporated a red star at the flag's centre, and this design persisted until the dissolution of Yugoslavia in the early 1990s. Following this breakup, the red star was removed.
One of the five successor states to Yugoslavia, Serbia and Montenegro, continued to use this modified flag design until its own dissolution in 2006. Today, the flag retains significance for those who hold nostalgia for the former Yugoslavia or who admire its anti-fascist principles. It serves as a symbol of the unity and values associated with that era.
